Job description

This boutique law firm is seeking a skilled and service-minded Legal Billing Manager to take ownership of the client billing process from start to finish. In this role, your keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and commitment to delivering polished, accurate work will make you an invaluable resource to attorneys and staff alike. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end billing process: generate and edit pre-bills, finalize invoices, and handle revisions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Monitor billing activity closely, ensuring timely processing and resolution of outstanding issues.
  • Communicate directly with attorneys to clarify billing instructions, escalate concerns when needed, and ensure client expectations are met.
  • Process cash receipts, wire transfers, and assist with monthly billing reports and ad hoc requests.
  • Maintain current and accurate billing records and client profiles within internal systems.
  • Collaborate with other team members and provide backup support as needed—always with professionalism and a service-first mindset.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experienced. You have two-to-three or more years of law firm billing experience, preferably at the Billing Manager or Billing Coordinator level. Bachelor’s Degree in hand.
  • Efficient. You enjoy working with deadlines and always complete tasks in a timely fashion.
  • Client service focus. Strong interpersonal skills with a helpful, can-do attitude.
  • Tech advanced. You know the ins and outs of MS Office and billing programs.
  • Professional communication. You are confident and clear in your verbal and written communications.
  • Discrete. You handle sensitive information with care and always maintain confidentiality.
