Speaks Law Firm is hiring a Legal Assistant to assist with the life cycle of personal injury cases by accurately and efficiently completing assigned administrative duties and maintenance of files. This is an on-site, full-time position based in our Charlotte office. Hours of work are Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM. - Request background checks and court records
- Support attorneys and case managers with case file maintenance
- Scan, save, and route incoming mail and faxes
- Obtain medical records and bills from providers and other third parties
- Maintain organized physical and digital case files
- Update information and documents in Neos CMS
- Provide front desk and reception coverage as needed
- Attend team meetings as scheduled
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:- A minimum of one (1) year legal administrative experience or equivalent required
- Associate degree or higher preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency with computers
- Familiarity with legal terminology and personal injury case processes
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking abilities
- High attention to detail and a professional work ethic
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to help others
- Ability to prioritize and drive tasks to completion
Compensation:
