V Elizabeth is seeking an experienced legal assistant or paralegal in Chicago, IL who can analyze case viability and help convey the benefits of representation to potential clients. Bilingual Spanish required.

You will draft and review pleadings, manage depositions and trials, file documents in state courts, organize medical records, and coordinate with counsel, experts, and clients while meeting deadlines.

• Must have litigation and Workers' Compensation experience and be able to obtain service, file motions, calendar court dates, and schedule depositions.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze facts and present them to the attorney for determination.
• Familiarity with Workers' Compensation required.
• Collaborative, positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.

Our client is looking for an experiencedlegal assistantor paralegal who is passionate about helping injured clients get the help they need. In this role, you will be responsible for providing initial analysis regarding the viability of a case and conveying the benefits of representation to prospective clients. (Bilingual Spanish required).

Job Description

• Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery, and case management orders.
• Assist attorneys in scheduling and preparing for depositions, mediations, and trials, including sending out notices, hiring court reporters/videographers,etc.
• Obtain, organize, and maintain medical records, imaging, bills, and other materials for client cases.
• Electronically file legal documents in Illinois State Courts
• Correspond effectively with opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and clients.
• Provide support during legal proceedings, including coordinating case schedulesand ensuring compliance with deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 / $60,000.00 per year

Education:
