Job summary

Floyd, Pflueger, Kearns, Nedderman & Gress, P.S. is a Seattle-based civil defense litigation firm seeking a skilled Legal Assistant/Paralegal.

The role supports multiple attorneys, manages case documents, coordinates schedules, and maintains client communications with professional discretion. Ideal candidates have at least three years’ attorney support experience, familiarity with state and federal courts, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and NetDocuments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience providing attorney support in a law firm.
• Experience with Washington state and Federal court systems is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management tools such as NetDocuments is expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of cases for assigned attorneys including court documents, case schedules, trial dates, depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
• Draft, prepare and format correspondence and other legal documents per firm standards.
• File pleadings with courts and serve pleadings, discovery, etc.
• Schedule appointments, depositions, court reporters, process servers, client meetings and other matter-related meetings for attorneys.
• Maintain attorney calendars and deadlines, with reminders and action items.
• Communicate professionally with diverse clients, attorneys, and staff in person, by phone and email.
