A well-established and highly respected law firm in Springfield is seeking a Legal Assistant or Paralegal to support a busy shareholder with a sophisticated practice focused on commercial transactions, civil litigation, and related business matters.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to a senior attorney and assist attorneys across the firm as needed
- Draft, revise, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and client materials
- Manage extensive document revisions, redlines, and version control for transactional matters
- Maintain case and matter files, calendars, deadlines, and related administrative tasks
- Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and third parties
- Assist with civil litigation and commercial transaction matters
- Track time and manage billing-related responsibilities
- Coordinate and organize large volumes of documents and information across multiple matters
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, Executive Assistant, or similar professional support role
- Prior law firm experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of legal documents and legal terminology
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Experience handling document comparison, redlining, and complex formatting projects
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Strong client service skills and professionalism when interacting with executives and business clients
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced education or paralegal studies a plus
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in a deadline-driven environment
- Salary range: $45,000 - $60,000
