Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP, a nationally respected Family Law Firm with a focus on high-net-worth clients, complex litigation, and mediation, seeks a dedicated full-time Legal Assistant with 3-5 years of experience to join our Chicago office. This is a hybrid position: four (4) days in the office and one (1) day remote per week.
Our ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented person with strong organizational skills who thrives on working collaboratively with attorneys and paralegals to serve client needs. They can support multiple attorneys in preparation for hearings, depositions, and trials. They take initiative and interact with all levels of management and staff with tact and diplomacy. This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. We are looking for someone who enjoys learning and who takes pride in achieving their goals.
This position is part of a Legal Assistant team that provides back-up coverage for each other when time off is taken and when special projects are assigned. Back-up coverage assignments may be short-term or for a single day.
The position of Legal Assistant is classified as a non-exempt, hourly role. Base compensation for 3-5 years of experience ranges between $60,000 - $75,000 annually. Those with more extensive experience and expertise may earn higher than the stated range. Additionally, this full-time 37.5-hour per week position is eligible to participate in the Firm’s benefits package which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with discretionary profit-sharing, transit benefit program, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Health Savings Account (HSA), paid time off, paid short-term disability leave, professional development and learning opportunities, wellness and engagement programs, and enrollment without any premiums in long-term disability and life insurance coverage.
