Responsibilities

• Own routine-to-moderately complex professional liability claims from intake to resolution; gather facts, review docs, analyze exposure, communicate with stakeholders.
• Prepare clear denial recommendations and settlement proposals; coordinate next steps within authority.
• Lead DOI investigations and responses: gather records, analyze facts, draft responses, coordinate internal reviews, meet deadlines.
• Manage matter timelines, follow-ups, and response deadlines to meet service standards and extensions when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate claim/complaint records in tracking systems; document investigations and outcomes.
• Support responses to insurer inquiries with documentation and summaries for review.
• Escalate material legal or regulatory risks and coordinate handoffs to paralegal or attorneys.
• Assist with claims reporting, trend analysis, and loss-prevention initiatives under supervision.
• Support paralegal team on litigated matters with document collection and investigation.
• Assist with legal and regulatory research and enterprise compliance projects.
