Job summary

Goosehead Insurance Agency is seeking a Legal Analyst to support the legal department’s risk, claims, and regulatory functions. You will manage professional liability matters and Department of Insurance investigations, delivering well-documented, data-driven analyses and responses.

You will collaborate with Claims Manager, attorneys, paralegals, and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate outcomes, escalating as needed and maintaining rigorous records and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in insurance claims, regulatory complaint handling, legal support, or a related analytical role.
• Strong written communication and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Own routine-to-moderately complex professional liability claims from intake through resolution.
• Evaluate findings and draft denial recommendations and settlement proposals for approval.
• Lead DOI investigations and responses with internal review and deadlines.
• Manage timelines, follow-ups, and response deadlines to meet service standards.
• Maintain accurate claim and complaint records in legal tracking systems.
• Support responses to carrier inquiries with clear summaries and draft responses.
• Identify risks and coordinate handoffs to paralegal team or attorneys.
