Job summary

Goosehead Insurance seeks a Legal Analyst to support its risk, claims, and regulatory (RCR) function. You will manage professional liability claims from intake to resolution, prepare denial and settlement recommendations, and lead Department of Insurance investigations with deadlines and documentation.

Collaboration with attorneys and internal teams is essential. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, responding to carrier inquiries, and escalating material risks.

Qualifications

• Ability to evaluate facts, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and escalate appropriately.
• Strong written communications and regulatory submissions with a factual basis.
• Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting for risk initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own routine-to-moderately complex professional liability claims from intake through resolution or transition to paralegal team.
• Evaluate findings and prepare denial recommendations and settlement proposals for Claims Manager approval.
• Coordinate next steps within authority and procedures.
• Manage DOI investigations and responses including gathering records and drafting responses.
• Maintain accurate claim records and document investigations and outcomes.
• Support responses to insurance carrier inquiries with clear summaries and draft responses.
• Assist with legal/regulatory research, special projects, and risk initiatives under guidance.
