Synthires is seeking experienced U.S.-licensed lawyers to contribute to a project aimed at improving AI systems' legal reasoning and judgment. You will evaluate AI-generated legal work, identify errors, and provide expert feedback to train advanced AI models. This is a fully remote contractor role based in the United States.

Required: JD from a U.S. law school, active bar license, and 3+ years of practice. Strong English writing and independent work are essential.

We are seeking experienced, U.S.-licensed lawyers across a wide range of legal practice areas to contribute to a project focused on improving AI systems' legal reasoning, accuracy, and judgment.

In this role, you will apply your legal expertise to evaluate complex legal scenarios, review AI-generated legal work, and provide expert feedback to help train advanced AI models. Your professional judgment will help identify legal errors, assess the quality of legal analysis, and improve the reliability of AI-generated legal outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze legal scenarios involving litigation, corporate transactions, regulatory matters, and compliance issues to identify key legal questions, risks, and applicable legal principles.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated legal analyses, arguments, contracts, and other legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and sound reasoning.
• Identify legal errors, unsupported conclusions, missing information, and weaknesses in legal reasoning.
• Apply professional legal judgment to complex or ambiguous situations, considering relevant laws, facts, and competing interpretations.
• Provide clear, structured feedback and corrections to improve the quality and reliability of AI-generated legal outputs.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a U.S. law school.
• Active bar license in at least one U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
• More than three years of substantive legal practice following the J.D.
• Strong legal reasoning, issue-spotting, legal writing, and document review skills.
• Excellent written English communication and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote contractor environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in one or more legal practice areas, including litigation, corporate law, commercial law, employment, personal injury, criminal law, family law, immigration, insurance, intellectual property, healthcare, securities, real estate, tax, privacy, environmental law, or regulatory law.
• Experience reviewing complex legal documents, identifying substantive errors, and evaluating competing legal arguments.
• Familiarity with legal technology, AI-assisted legal research, or AI evaluation. This experience is beneficial but not required.

Compensation & Engagement

• Compensation: $100–$170 per hour.
• Engagement Type: Contractor.
• Work Arrangement: Fully remote; applicants must be based in the United States.
