Job summary

micro1 is seeking experienced U.S.-licensed lawyers for remote, US-based contractor roles to support a project improving AI systems' legal reasoning, accuracy, and judgment.

You will analyze litigation, corporate, and regulatory matters, review AI-generated analyses and contracts, identify errors, and provide structured feedback to enhance AI outputs.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a U.S. law school.
• Active bar license in at least one U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
• 3+ years of substantive post-J.D. legal practice.
• Strong legal reasoning, issue-spotting, legal writing, and document review skills.
• Excellent written English communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote contractor environment.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in any legal practice area, including litigation, corporate, commercial, employment, personal injury, criminal, family, immigration, insurance, intellectual property, healthcare, securities, real estate, tax, privacy, environmental, or regulatory law.
• Experience reviewing complex legal documents, identifying substantive errors, or evaluating competing legal arguments.
• Familiarity with legal technology, AI-assisted research, or AI evaluation is a plus, but not required.
