Sunstate Equipment Co. in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Legal Commercial Collections Coordinator. The role offers hybrid work after training, weekly pay, and a discretionary bonus program.

Primary duties involve managing construction collections, filing mechanics’ liens, and coordinating with attorneys. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of construction collections experience, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

• Background in collections including multi-jurisdictional preliminary notices, mechanic's liens and releases a plus

Responsabilidades

• Collections of accounts that have internal collections exhausted; negotiate balances to close accounts
• Coordinate filing and release of mechanic’s liens, performance bond claims, stop notices with supervisor approval
• Consider lawsuit and post-judgment requests from collection agencies and attorneys within guidelines
• Assist internal/external inquiries related to ‘S’ status accounts; defer to appropriate agency or attorney
• Reconcile attorney billings and update the collections database accordingly
• Review bankruptcy notices and file bankruptcy proofs of claim as needed

What you will enjoy doing

• Collections of accounts that have internal collections have exhausted all efforts, and negotiating balance to close accounts
• Coordinate the filing and release of mechanic’s liens, performance bond claims, stop notices and verify as necessary upon Supervisor approval. Maintain log records accordingly
• Consider lawsuit and post judgment requests from collection agencies and attorneys to make decision within provided guidelines. Review and attest miscellaneous paperwork
• Assist in both internal and external inquiries (written, telephone and email) related to ‘S’ status accounts. Defer to appropriate agency or attorney when warranted. Inform team members appropriately with status.
• Reconciles the attorney’s billings and updates the collections database accordingly
• Review bankruptcy notices and make appropriate AS/400 notation. File bankruptcy proofs of claims as needed
