African Wildlife Foundation seeks an Associate Director, Legacy Giving to lead and grow the legacy gifts program. The role acts as a hands-on builder‑operator, formalizing workflows, donor communications, and bequest processes to secure long‑term funding for AWF’s mission.

Reporting to the VP, Individual Giving, the incumbent will mentor the Legacy Giving Associate, partner with Finance and Data Services, and travel to engage donors nationwide, setting a strong program foundation for scalable

Formación

• Minimum 6 years frontline fundraising experience, with at least 4 years in legacy giving (planned giving, gift planning, or estate giving).
• Experience leading teams and mentoring staff in a fast‑paced nonprofit environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with donors; able to discuss estate and legacy planning with tact and discretion.

Responsabilidades

• Create and oversee a comprehensive legacy giving program to ensure a sustainable revenue pipeline.
• Develop systems, processes, and tools to align legacy fundraising with overall strategy.
• Serve as liaison between data functions and development for integrated donor initiatives.
• Design end‑to‑end legacy workflows with donor data, wealth indicators, and stewardship touchpoints.
• Establish processes for bequest notifications, administration, and estate correspondence in partnership with Finance and global offices.
