Job Overview

Legacy Club is an exclusive private members club in the heart of McGregor Square, offering an upscale yet relaxed environment for its members and residents. We are looking for a professional, personable Bartender who enjoys meaningful guest interactions. Shifts tend to be calm and steady, with a focus on quality over quantity.

Responsibilities

• Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures, and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by company standards.
• Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner, maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Ring guest checks, collect cash, and process credits and room charges according to company policies and procedures.
• Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists.
• Know and comply with state liquor laws.
• Ensure established pars are maintained.
• Perform all sidework duties according to sidework schedules.

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training

Bartending training and certification, TIPS Certified

Experience

Minimum 6 months of bartending experience

Knowledge/Skills

Must be 21 years of age or older to serve alcoholic beverages.

• Lifting trays, dish racks, glass racks, etc. weighing 20-40 lbs; pushing carts, Queen Marys, hotboxes, portable bars weighing 50-100 lbs; carrying trays, dish racks, glass racks, etc. 20-40 lbs.
• Bending/kneeling to lower cabinets and lift trays.
• Maneuvering in narrow areas and between seated guests.
• Continuous standing required during service; 100% of scheduled hours.
• Climbing approximately 12 steps about 20% of an 8-hour shift.
• No driving required.
• Ability to use records and handle special requests.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow verbal and written instructions in English, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Highly organized with attention to detail in crowded and noisy environments when handling multiple tasks.
• Use tact and understanding when dealing with various customer service issues, including stressful and emotional situations.
• Accurate cash counting and operation of cash register.
