Job summary

Fuse Technical Group is seeking an LED Quality Assurance Technician to manage LED inventory, organize warehouse LED assets, and support equipment prep and deployment. This role includes testing, cleaning, programming, and troubleshooting LED equipment, plus data entry into Rental Works database.

The position reports to the Operations Manager and involves collaboration with the operations team to ensure accurate records, safe handling, and timely fulfillment of orders while maintaining high QA

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review incoming LED equipment by confirming specifications and performing visual/measurement tests
• Prepare equipment by entering specifications into RW database and communicating adjustments to production
• Verify equipment is in working order and fully functional before returning to service
• Document inspection results, logs, and QA data in the quality database
• Maintain measurement tools and report malfunctions for repairs
• Keep department tools and equipment organized for QA activities
• Review RW database for upcoming orders and prioritize activities
• Collaborate daily with operations to maintain LED inventory and packaging
• Pursue ongoing knowledge through educational opportunities and publications
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

Job description

The LED Quality Assurance Technician is specifically assigned to LED inventory, warehouse organization of LED assets, and support to the operation for all LED equipment prep and deployment. This position includes LED equipment testing, cleaning, and programming as well. This requires an understanding of equipment functionalities, uses, and ability to troubleshoot technical issues. Warehouse organization and loading and unloading equipment as needed. This also requires use of a computer-based inventory program, Rental Works.

This position reports to and supports the Operations Manager.

Key Accountabilities:

• Reviews incoming LED equipment by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and reviewing reported unacceptable equipment to determine next steps to return equipment to service; ensuring any equipment that cannot be resolved at their level is reported to the Lead Technician for further assessment and coordinates with data entered into RW database utilizing asset module notes in the specific barcode
• Preparing equipment by confirming specifications entered into RW database; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor
• Confirms products are in working order by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; completing testing to ensure equipment can be returned to service; verifying the equipment returned to service is fully functional
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database
• Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, reporting any malfunctions for repairs
• Ensures department tools and equipment for completion of all quality control are accounted for and organized
• Reviews RW database for upcoming order and transfer fulfilment needs to prioritize activities
• Collaborates daily within operations department to maintain inventory organization of all products and accessories to complete product packages
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
• Other tasks as assigned within specific department or from operations management

Skills and Qualifications:

• Understanding of various types of LED equipment including hardware and accessories
• Experience in conducting inspections and tests to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
• Ability to identify potential safety hazards and take corrective actions
• Ability to maintain accurate records of inspections and quality assurance activities
• Capability to troubleshoot issues related to LED equipment quality and performance
• Basic understanding of signal flow and how to troubleshoot issues
• Proficiency in using measurement tools and testing equipment relevant to quality assurance tasks
• Readiness to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs in a warehouse environment
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Planning, time management, collaboration, problem solving, and organization skills required
• Strong interpersonal skills to work within a team
• Willingness to work a demanding schedule that is dependent upon evolving client needs
