Acoufelt, LLC in Auburn Hills, MI seeks an LED Lighting Technician to assemble, install, test, and inspect LED lighting components within acoustic felt products. You will work with Manufacturing, Assembly, and Product teams to ensure lighting systems meet product specs and customer requirements.

The role emphasizes safe wiring, precise assembly, ongoing process improvements, and collaboration across departments to support quality and production goals.

Qualifications

• Experience with LED lighting, low-voltage electrical systems, electrical assembly, or a related manufacturing field preferred.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install LED lighting components into acoustic felt products, including baffles, panels, and other custom products.
• Read and follow work orders, drawings, wiring diagrams, and product specifications.
• Install LED strips, light fixtures, drivers, connectors, wiring, and related electrical components.
• Perform basic wiring, connections, and component assembly using appropriate hand and electrical tools.
• Test completed lighting assemblies for proper operation, appearance, and functionality before packaging or shipment.
• Troubleshoot LED lighting, wiring, connection, and component issues and complete necessary repairs.
• Verify that lighting components and installation locations match work order and customer requirements.
• Maintain clean and organized wiring and component placement within finished products.
• Identify defective or damaged components and communicate quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain an organized inventory of LED components, wiring, drivers, connectors, and related materials.
• Work with Production teams to develop and improve LED assembly and testing processes.
• Follow all company safety procedures and electrical handling requirements.
• Assist with prototype builds and new LED product development as needed.
