Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in acoustics, materials engineering, or product development.
  • Foundational understanding of sound absorption and transmission principles, acoustic measurement concepts (NRC, STC, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel; CAD familiarity preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small-team manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to technical documentation, reports, and product data sheets.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within engineering and production.

TECHLITE** is seeking an **Acoustics Engineer** to support the design, testing, and development of acoustic and insulation products. Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design and development of acoustic panels and insulation systems
  • Perform acoustic calculations and analysis related to sound absorption, transmission loss, and noise reduction

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in acoustics, materials engineering, or product development

    • Acoustic measurement concepts (NRC, STC, etc.)
    • Materials behavior and performance
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with CAD software preferred
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a small-team manufacturing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred (But Not Required)
  • Internship experience in architectural acoustics, manufacturing, or materials testing
  • Exposure to ASTM acoustic testing standards
  • Experience working in a production or lab environment

While performing the duties of this job, the Acoustics Engineer will perform most of the work in a multi-occupied office environment, with face-to-face customer interactions, and some work is performed on the production floor, near vibrating loud equipment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
