Job summary

Proteinea is seeking a Mechanical Design & R&D Engineer to lead mechanical design, development, and validation of innovative LED lighting products from concept to production. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high performance, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness while focusing on thermal management and mechanical reliability.

The role requires CAD and simulation expertise, prototyping experience, and knowledge of lighting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of R&D lighting experience.
• Experience with design and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of LED lighting, drivers, optics, and thermal management.
• Familiarity with lighting standards and testing methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and validation from concept to production.
• Model components using CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor).
• Perform thermal and structural simulations with Ansys/Nastran.
• Develop prototypes and test for manufacturability of new designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality specifications.
• Prepare detailed drawings and documentation for production and testing.
