Job summary

G&G Industrial Lighting is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive product development from concept to production. You will design mechanical components, validate materials for harsh environments, and iterate through prototypes to final production readiness.

You will work with suppliers on tooling, first articles, and design changes, while supporting UL certification and IP rating compliance. This hands‑on role demands practical problem solving and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years designing mechanical products through prototyping to production.
• Experience with tooling, first articles, design changes, and production readiness with suppliers.
• Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS for parts, assemblies and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and products in SOLIDWORKS; maintain CAD data.
• Design for injection molding, extrusion, sheet metal, and 3D printing.
• Validate materials and fastening methods for harsh environments.
• Develop thermal paths and heatsinks for high‑power LEDs.
• Build prototypes and iterate based on test results.
• Create and document mechanical validation plans.
• Support UL certification and IP rating processes.
