Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–La Crosse invites applications for an English instructor pool. Instructors may teach face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses as needed by the department.

Work includes designing coursework, maintaining currency in the field, evaluating student work, providing feedback, and advising students where appropriate. Qualifications include a Master’s degree in a related field (or progress toward a doctorate); UW–Lax notes other credentials may be considered.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department, or significant progress toward a doctorate.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
• Experience with teaching and advising is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and delivers courses across face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats.
• Maintains currency in the field, evaluates student work, and provides timely feedback.
• Holds office hours and may advise students and support department activities.
