Job summary

Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Lecturer of Spanish in the Department of World Languages and Cultures with a preferred start date of August 2027. This nine-month position is for work to be performed in Georgia.

Responsibilities include teaching lower-division Spanish (and possibly upper-division courses), may include teaching in English for majors, on Kennesaw or Marietta campuses, plus departmental service.

• Teach on the Kennesaw or Marietta campus as needed

• Establish a teaching environment where all students can be successful

• Maintain a teaching load of 4/5 for the year

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position as Lecturer of Spanish in the Department of World Languages and Cultures with a preferred start date of August 2027. This is a nine-month contracted position and is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Teaching face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online mainly lower division Spanish language courses, and dependent on departmental needs, upper-level division language Spanish. Assignments may also include teaching major-level courses in English geared toward all Modern Languages and Cultures majors.
• Teaching may occur on the Kennesaw or the Marietta campus.
• Engage in service to the department, college, and/or university, such as co-curricular activities organization, program recruitment, and committee work.
• Establish a teaching environment where all students can be successful.
• Prioritize student success, foster an engaging learning environment for all students, and accommodate a broad range of educational goals.
• The current teaching load is 4/5 for the year.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
