Job summary

Auburn University’s School of Communication and Journalism invites applications for a Lecturer in Communication beginning Fall semester, Aug. 16, 2027.

This is a teaching‑intensive, nine‑month appointment focused on undergraduate instruction on campus. The successful candidate will teach a range of sophomore and junior courses (and some senior‑level offerings), in person, and participate in occasional summer instruction depending on funding.

Qualifications

• MA in human communication or related field at the time employment begins.
• Record of high-quality college teaching experience in general communication courses.
• Experience teaching online courses is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach four courses per semester, in person, on campus.
• Teach a range of sophomore and junior courses and some senior-level courses.
• Be an engaged member of the School by serving on committees.
