Job summary

Qualifications

• MA/PhD/MFA in the communication discipline expected at appointment.
• Must meet SACSCOC accreditation requirements stated in C.S. 3.7.1.
• Understanding of effective teaching and learning principles.
• Experience in professional media writing, public relations, interviewing, and publication editing.

Responsibilities

• Teach five courses per semester and engage students in research/creative activities.
• Contribute to core curriculum and foundational courses for majors and non-majors.
• Stay current in field and participate in departmental activities.
• Mentor students pursuing careers in communication fields.
