Job summary

Auburn University at Montgomery is inviting applications for a non-tenure track, full-time lecturer position in the Department of Communication and Theatre to begin August 2026. This is a one-year (nine-month), renewable appointment.

The role involves teaching courses aligned with departmental needs and maintaining office hours. The teaching load is 4-4 courses per academic year, with possible summer teaching and an opportunity to join a growing theatre program that stages multiple productions

Qualifications

• MFA in Theatre.
• Teaching and professional theatre experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses appropriate to the needs of the department and maintain office hours.
• Teaching load of 4–4 courses (24 credit hours) per academic year (Fall and Spring); Summer teaching is possible.
