JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Lehigh Valley invites applications for a Lecturer /Assistant Teaching Professor of Business to start Fall 2025, or as negotiated. This is a non-tenure-line, term, 36-week appointment funded for one year from the date of hire with the possibility of re-appointment.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications: Successful candidate should have earned a master’s degree in economics, finance, or a closely related field at a minimum to be considered for the rank of Lecturer, a doctorate (preferred) to be considered for the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor.
Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment is expected. Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology, and hybrid and online teaching is an advantage. Significant industry and prior college-level teaching experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to work in a collegial environment with faculty and administration is required. Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important.

The coursework for the first two years of more than 275 Penn State baccalaureate majors is offered, as well as 10 baccalaureate degrees, including a B.S. in Information Technology, B.S. in Cyber Analytics and Operations. Students and faculty at Penn State Lehigh Valley have all the resources of a major research university at their disposal, but in a small college atmosphere. Class sizes are small, and the student/faculty ratio is low, so students can receive individual attention.
