Essential Job Duties

The Department of English is accepting applications for the position of Lecturer on a full‑time and/or part‑time basis in areas such as Composition, Literature, Linguistics, Film Studies and Screenwriting, Creative Writing and Professional Writing for Summer 2026, Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.

Other Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department head.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Requires master’s degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience
Other Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent teaching
  • Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Special training or experience with online or blending/hybrid instruction is desirable
  • Graduate coursework in writing pedagogy is preferred
