Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) invites applications for a Lecturer based at Gateway campus. You will deliver high-quality Hairdressing teaching, assessment and academic support to empower learners on their progression journey.

The role involves curriculum design input, student recruitment activities, and maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge across digital and in-person teaching modalities. A supportive environment and ongoing professional development are provided.

The Role

Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Lecturer based at Gateway campus. This is an exciting opportunity to support and inspire students throughout their learning journey by delivering high-quality teaching, assessment and academic support, helping them develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for progression into further study or employment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Delivering inclusive, high-standard teaching, learning, and assessment in Hairdressing.
• Supporting curriculum design and helping to ensure programmes meet current regulations, specifications, and industry standards.
• Monitoring and supporting student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression through tailored developmental guidance.
• Actively contributing to student recruitment through interviews, open days, and guidance activities.
• Maintaining current subject knowledge and effective teaching practices (digital and face-to-face), while contributing to wider professional practice and the academic community.
