A strong preference will be given to candidates with education incomputer information systems or a related discipline, along withprior teaching experience in higher education and analytics withspreadsheet technology.

It is also preferred that the successful candidate hold the MOSExcel Associate 365 Apps certification at the time of hire orcommit to obtaining it within 60 days of employment (administeredthrough the CIS department). Experience troubleshooting technicalissues in computing environments is highly desirable. The positionrequires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and theability to support students and faculty in technology-basedlearning and assessment settings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This is a remote position with primary responsibility for teachingthe introductory spreadsheet analytics course (CIS1060) in the Flight Path program. Eachcourse assignment is delivered over an 8-week term, with theteaching assignment distributed across the academic year asfollows:

• Fall 1: 2 courses
• Fall 2: 2courses
• Spring 1: 2 courses
• Spring2: 2 courses
• Summer: 2 courses

The Lecturer will be expected to effectively use and managetechnology platforms that support online instruction andassessment, using Canvas as the learning management system, GMetrixfor exam preparation and assessment, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft365, and other instructional and testing platforms that supportstudent learning and certification activities. The Lecturer willalso be expected to participate in service activities at theprogram, department, college, university, profession, and communitylevels, and responsibilities will include coaching and mentoringstudents.
