Job summary

The City of San Marcos is seeking a Human Resources Risk & Leave Coordinator to support risk management and medical leave programs. You will ensure compliant administration, maintain documentation, and coordinate leave requests across departments, under supervision of the Risk Manager/ADA Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a closely related field.
• Three (3) years of related work experience, preferably in government.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment regulations and risk management.
• Valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the City’s medical leave of absence programs and FMLA compliance.
• Oversee workers’ compensation and liability claims processes.
• Administer modified duty and return-to-work programs.
• Provide guidance on risk management policies to departments and the public.
• Maintain accurate confidential records in compliance with laws and policies.
• Support safety programs and keep documentation up to date.
• Monitor forms for completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with special projects and training on compliance.
