Job summary

Ultimate Staffing in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an HR Leave Management professional to administer leave cases, code timesheets, and guide employees through leave options. You will coordinate with HR and safety teams and manage inbound LM emails while maintaining high confidentiality and service levels.

The role requires 2 years in HR or a related Leave/Disability field, or a bachelor’s degree, with strong data accuracy, judgment, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in HR or Leave/Disability environment OR bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field.
• Maintain confidentiality and data accuracy in all leave-related processes.
• Capable of identifying and addressing critical issues while exercising some independent judgment.
• Work with close supervision and manage large workloads effectively & efficiently, while maintaining high customer service standards.
• Prior Leave Management experience.
• Functional knowledge of Workers' Compensation, Short-Term disability (STD), Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), Long-Term Disability (LTD), Military and Personal leaves.
• Knowledgeable of FMLA regulatory requirements.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Proven experience in providing both internal and external customer service.

Responsibilities

• Administer leave cases, including assisting employees in determining leave type and responsibilities through their leave, sending their leave packets, coding the employee timesheets appropriately.
• Direct employees to resources for handling other leave-related transactions (benefit plan contributions).
• Maintain contact with employees on leave via phone and/or email, covering expectations and timelines.
• Update case information in the case management system per policy and coordinate with HR/Safety and external third-party administrators.
• Assist with managing inbound emails into LM and Vendor team inboxes and backups during coworkers’ absences.
• Conduct research, investigate inquiries, and suggest process improvements.
• Perform other duties as requested.
