Job summary

Shapell Properties Inc in San Ramon, CA is seeking a motivated Leasing Consultant to guide prospective residents through every step of the leasing process. This role focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience, supporting marketing initiatives, and building strong resident relationships.

Responsibilities include tours, qualification assessments, closing leases, maintaining occupancy goals, and daily data entry in Yardi. High school diploma required; weekend availability expected.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting leases and move-in paperwork.
• Basic math for rents and percentages.
• Clear written and verbal communication with residents and team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the leasing office is clean, hospitable, and professional in appearance during business hours.
• Open, inspect, and prepare model and vacant units for daily tours.
• Assist Community Manager in generating qualified traffic and achieving occupancy goals.
• Conduct property tours, assess prospective residents’ needs and qualifications, and effectively close leases in accordance with company standards and policies.
• Inspect apartments at least 24 hours prior to move-in to ensure they are for occupancy.
• Maintain weekly and monthly sales goals as set forth by (Sr.) Community Manager to meet or exceed budgeted occupancy.
• Address resident concerns promptly and elevate to the Assistant Community Manager or Community manager as needed.
• Support resident engagement and retention initiatives.
• Support efforts to maintain and enhance the property’s on-line reputation management.
• Enter leasing activity into Yardi daily including traffic, leases, and resident work orders.
• Review and process applications in accordance with company policies and submit completed files for manager approval.
• Complete monthly reporting as required.
