Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure the leasing office is clean, hospitable, and professional in appearance during business hours.
• Open, inspect, and prepare model and vacant units for daily tours.
• Assist Community Manager in generating qualified traffic and achieving occupancy goals.
• Conduct property tours, assess prospective residents’ needs and qualifications, and effectively close leases in accordance with company standards and policies.
• Inspect apartments at least 24 hours prior to move-in to ensure they are for occupancy.
• Maintain weekly and monthly sales goals as set forth by (Sr.) Community Manager to meet or exceed budgeted occupancy.
• Address resident concerns promptly and elevate to the Assistant Community Manager or Community manager as needed.
• Support resident engagement and retention initiatives.
• Support efforts to maintain and enhance the property’s on-line reputation management.
• Enter leasing activity into Yardi daily including traffic, leases, and resident work orders.
• Review and process applications in accordance with company policies and submit completed files for manager approval.
• Complete monthly reporting as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in sales, leasing, hospitality or customer service is preferred.
• Must be available to work weekends and occasional holidays.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as leases, addendums to leases, pertinent move-in/move-out paperwork and various notices to residents such as Notice to Comply. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, rents, and other leasing-related figures.
• Excellent verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a calm and responsive demeanor, using good judgment and initiative.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and processing.
