Job summary

Rose Associates Inc. is seeking a dynamic Leasing Representative for multifamily properties in New Jersey. You will greet prospects, tour available units, and guide applicants through the leasing process, ensuring a seamless, positive experience.

The role requires at least 1 year of leasing experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Yardi and other property management tools. Weekend work and a NY real estate license or eligibility within 120 days are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field is a plus.
• 1 year leasing or sales experience, preferably in multifamily residential properties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in property management software, including Microsoft Office, iLuvLeasing, On‑Site, and Yardi.
• Knowledge of fair housing regulations and leasing practices.
• NYS real estate license or ability to obtain within 120 days; license will be registered with Rose Associates on hire.
• Must be able to work weekends ( Saturdays and Sundays).

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including tours, presenting units, and answering questions in person, by phone, and via email.
• Support applicants through the screening process, gather documents, and communicate status and decisions.
• Build relationships with residents and staff to maintain a welcoming leasing office environment.
• Coordinate with on‑site maintenance for requests and communicate with residents about repairs and renewals.
• Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports and traffic analyses as assigned.
• Receive deposits and rent payments and record transactions.
• Stay informed about local market trends and competitor offerings to inform leasing/marketing strategies.
• Prepare and execute lease agreements in compliance with company policies.
• On‑site presence to ensure effective communication with tenants, staff, vendors, and visitors.
