Job summary

Rose Associates seeks a dynamic Leasing Representative for our multifamily properties. You will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, conduct property tours, and guide applicants through the leasing process to secure housing.

On-site role requiring weekend work and collaboration with the property management team. Proficiency in leasing software and fair housing knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus
• A minimum of 1 year of leasing or sales experience, preferably in multifamily residential properties
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in navigating computers and property management software (Microsoft Office, iLuvLeasing, On-Site, Yardi)
• Knowledge of fair housing regulations and leasing practices
• Valid NYS real estate license or ability to obtain one within 120 days; licenses must be registered with Rose Associates
• Must be able to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays)

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including property tours, showcasing units, answering inquiries, and scheduling appointments
• Assist potential residents through the application process and conduct background and credit checks
• Build positive relationships with prospective and current residents and with the property management team
• Handle maintenance requests in collaboration with the on-site maintenance team
• Assist with weekly and monthly sales reports and traffic analyses
• Receive deposits and rent money and record transactions
• Stay informed about local market trends and competitor offerings
• Prepare and execute lease agreements in compliance with company policies
• Must be on-site and able to move throughout the building and communicate with tenants, staff, vendors, and visitors
• Be able to ascend/descend stairs and handle varying environments
• May perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed
