Job summary

TRG Management is seeking a Leasing Agent to interview prospective tenants, accompany them to model apartments, and guide them through the lease process. You will collect deposits, ensure units are ready for move-in, and maintain accurate listings while handling inquiries professionally.

The role includes processing applications, coordinating with the Community Manager, and supporting renewals and advertising efforts. TRG emphasizes equal opportunity employment and a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Interviews prospective tenants and records information to ascertain needs and qualifications.
• Accompanies prospects to model apartments and discusses size and layout, available facilities and services, and terms of lease.
• Completes lease form or agreement and collects rental deposit.
• Inspects condition of premises periodically and arranges for necessary maintenance.
• Compiles listings of available rental units.
• Identifies prospects.
• Answers incoming call and voicemails in a timely and professional manner.
• Have prospect complete application and secure deposit in accordance with the company procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
• Update availability report, process applications for approvals. Submit processed applications to the Community Manager for approval. Follow up with applicant regarding status.
• Ensure apartment is ready for resident to move-in on agreed date.
• Follow up on prospects that did not close and attempt to close sale again or refer to sister communities when needed.
• Assist in monitoring renewals and advertising effectiveness; gather market competition information and file.
