Job summary

The Neiders Company LLC in Washington state is seeking a Leasing Agent to drive occupancy across assigned apartment communities. You will conduct tours, respond to inquiries, and guide prospects through the leasing journey with a strong, service-oriented approach.

This role emphasizes relationship building, accurate documentation, and adherence to Fair Housing and company policies, while coordinating with maintenance and onsite teams to deliver an exceptional resident experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of leasing, sales, or relevant customer service experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to build rapport with diverse prospects and onsite teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation.
• Calm, professional, and solutions-focused under pressure.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing preferred; able to learn policies and company rules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn property management and leasing systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with onsite teams across communities.
• Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel between properties.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all leasing activities including tours, calls, and follow-up.
• Build rapport, identify housing needs, overcome objections, and close leases.
• Achieve occupancy and KPI targets, manage pipeline and resident retention.
• Explain lease terms, policies, and pricing clearly.
• Maintain show-ready models, amenities, and offices.
• Process rental applications and screening per policies.
• Maintain upbeat, welcoming, and solutions-oriented approach with residents.
• Support retention and resolve resident concerns.
• Engage with community resources when appropriate.
• Support online marketing: postings, photos, responding to leads.
• Assist with social media, referral campaigns, signage, outreach.
• Highlight features and value propositions for target demographics.
• Support rent collection follow-up on delinquencies.
• Maintain lease files and move-in/move-out docs.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and laws.
