Job summary

Sage Ventures in Forestville, MD is seeking a Leasing Consultant to deliver outstanding service, drive occupancy, and support property revenue.

You will greet residents, conduct tours, process applications, run credit/background checks, prepare leases, and collaborate with the property team on marketing and tenant relations.

Strong communication, multitasking, and knowledge of fair housing laws are essential; proficiency with MS Office and property management software is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous leasing, sales, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents and give tours of available units.
• Assist with the leasing process: applications, credit/background checks, leases.
• Respond to inquiries by phone, email, or in person with accurate pricing/availability info.
• Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective residents; address concerns.
• Collaborate with management on leasing strategies, marketing, and referrals.
• Conduct market research to stay informed on local trends and pricing.
• Maintain leasing records ensuring compliance with housing laws and policies.
