Job summary

Wms in Florida is seeking a Leasing Consultant to connect with prospective residents, showcase homes and community amenities, and convert inquiries into new leases using your sales, customer service, and marketing skills. You’ll build relationships from first contact through move-in and beyond.

Responsibilities include guiding applicants, preparing leases, calculating rents, maintaining accurate records, supporting marketing efforts, and ensuring the leasing office and models are tour-ready.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of leasing, sales, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with prospective residents through tours, calls, emails, and in-person interactions, presenting homes and amenities professionally.
• Serve as a resource on features, floorplans, amenities, pricing, and local competitors.
• Respond promptly to inquiries and follow up to convert prospects into leases.
• Manage leasing process: applicant qualification, lease prep, move-ins, rent calculations, prorations, and communication with management.
• Maintain accurate records of leasing activity, prospect traffic, and lease files.
• Contribute to occupancy goals via new leases, renewals, and waitlist management.
• Support marketing by outreach and networking to generate leads and referrals.
• Ensure the leasing office, model apartments, and amenities are tour-ready.
• Provide exceptional service to residents and prospects, addressing inquiries courteously.
• Understand Fair Housing laws and lease documents.
