Job summary

Kay Apartment Communities’ leasing team at our 504-unit New Carrollton, MD community is seeking a Leasing Specialist who delivers outstanding customer service to prospective residents and current residents alike.

You will manage the full sales cycle from lead to lease, conduct tours, qualify needs, process applications, and compile lease documents while aiming to exceed occupancy and retention goals. You must be reliable, detail‑oriented, and able to work weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of customer service and/or sales experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must successfully complete Kay’s sales training program.
• Superior sales and customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and working proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to prospective and current residents.
• Manage the sales process from lead to lease, including handling leads, qualification, tours, follow-up, and closing.
• Process applications and compile lease documents.
• Deliver a superior resident experience and meet occupancy/retention goals.
• Maintain records and handle money (fees, deposits, rent).
• Conduct apartment inspections and assist with monthly community inspections.
• Other duties as assigned.
