Job summary

Conifer Realty is seeking a Leasing Specialist / Agent for affordable housing in Damascus, MD. You will greet prospective residents, conduct tours, process applications, and manage renewals to keep communities full and compliant.

You’ll work with LIHTC and HUD programs, ensure Fair Housing compliance, and provide excellent customer service using Yardi or similar property management software. High school diploma required; bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of apartment leasing experience
• 1 year experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD-Section 8, HOME, RD) required
• Familiarity with Fair Housing and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
• Basic math and data-entry abilities for rent collection and recordkeeping
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus
• High school diploma or GED required; COS or TCS certification desired or willingness to obtain

Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 / hour | Full Time | Monday–Friday | 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

What You Bring as a Leasing Specialist

• 2+ years of apartment leasing experience preferred.

Requirements

Work schedules may include Saturdays, based on property performance needs such as occupancy levels, leasing activity, and rent collections.

When required, weekend coverage will be scheduled on a rotating basis and aligned with business priorities.

Employees are expected to support leasing efforts, resident engagement, and rent collection activities during scheduled weekend hours.
