Job summary

LHH is seeking a Leasing Specialist in Kent, WA to oversee leasing activity, tenant engagement, and marketing across our commercial real estate portfolio. The role focuses on tours, negotiations, and marketing strategies to drive occupancy and brand visibility.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in commercial real estate, strong lease knowledge, and experience with Yardi and MS Office. Bachelor's degree preferred; full-time, on-site position with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours for prospective tenants and brokers, highlighting spaces and benefits.
• Manage the full leasing cycle, including prospect qualification, proposals, lease negotiations, renewals, expansions, and amendments.
• Develop leasing strategies with ownership to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Maintain strong relationships with tenants to drive retention and identify expansions.
• Coordinate with legal counsel and stakeholders on lease documents and execution.
• Track leasing activity, market conditions, and tenant feedback for decisions.
• Develop and implement marketing plans to increase property visibility and occupancy.
• Manage digital and traditional marketing campaigns and collateral.

Position Overview

LHH Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Leasing Specialist to oversee leasing activity, tenant engagement, and marketing initiatives across a growing commercial real estate portfolio. This role is ideal for a professional with a background in commercial real estate who enjoys building tenant relationships, touring prospective tenants, negotiating lease transactions, and creating marketing strategies that drive occupancy and brand visibility.

The Leasing Specialist will serve as a key ambassador for the portfolio, helping attract and retain tenants while coordinating events and promotional efforts that strengthen community engagement and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Leasing & Tenant Relations

• Conduct property tours for prospective tenants and brokers, highlighting available spaces, amenities, and property benefits.
• Manage the full leasing cycle, including prospect qualification, proposal generation, lease negotiations, renewals, expansions, and amendments.
• Partner with ownership and leadership to develop leasing strategies that maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing tenants to drive retention and identify expansion opportunities.
• Coordinate with legal counsel and internal stakeholders regarding lease documentation and execution.
• Track leasing activity, market conditions, and tenant feedback to support informed decision-making.
• Develop and implement marketing plans to increase property visibility, brand awareness, and leasing activity.
• Manage digital and traditional marketing campaigns, including website content, social media, email marketing, signage, advertising, and promotional materials.
• Collaborate with brokers, vendors, and creative partners to ensure consistent and professional property marketing.
• Monitor marketing performance metrics and adjust strategies to improve lead generation and occupancy results.
• Maintain property marketing collateral, photography, floor plans, and listing information.

Event Planning & Community Engagement

• Coordinate tenant appreciation events, grand openings, networking functions, and community engagement initiatives.
• Represent the company at industry events, business organizations, and networking opportunities.
• Create memorable experiences that enhance tenant satisfaction and strengthen relationships within the local business community.
• Manage event logistics, budgets, vendor coordination, and communication efforts.

Market Research & Reporting

• Analyze local market trends, rental rates, competitive properties, and leasing activity.
• Provide regular leasing and marketing reports to leadership.
• Track occupancy, pipeline activity, prospect engagement, and marketing effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities to improve tenant attraction and retention strategies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial real estate/property management experience required (residential leasing experience alone will not be considered)
• Strong understanding of commercial lease structures, terminology, and negotiations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and commercial real estate software platforms such as Yardi.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
