Job summary

Sunrise Management is seeking a Leasing and Resident Experience Manager for its San Diego portfolio. The role drives leasing, renewals, and resident retention across multiple communities, supervising the Roving Leasing Agent and Resident Services Professional.

It partners with regional and onsite teams to deliver a high-quality resident experience from prospect to renewal. A valid driver’s license is required; there is a strong focus on occupancy, renewal, engagement, and data-driven performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive property management, leasing, sales, customer service, or resident experience.
• Minimum two years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Multi-site property management experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel regularly between communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute portfolio-wide leasing strategies to maximize occupancy.
• Monitor leasing traffic, conversion rates, and leasing velocity.
• Analyze market conditions, pricing, concessions, and competitor activity.
• Develop and lead portfolio-wide resident retention initiatives.
• Create standardized renewal campaigns and resident communication strategies.
• Monitor renewal rates and identify opportunities to improve retention.
• Oversee renewal process across communities.
• Ensure timely renewal outreach and resident communication.
• Monitor lease expirations and renewal conversion rates.
• Provide leasing, renewal, and resident service support during vacancies.
• Coordinate prospect and resident communications, tours, and processing.
• Oversee renewal activity during vacancies and ensure proactive outreach.
• Directly supervise and develop the Roving Leasing Agent and Resident Services Professional.
• Prioritize assignments and balance workloads.
• Set performance expectations and conduct reviews.
• Ensure marketing listings are accurate and optimized.
• Review marketing performance and adjust strategy.
• Prepare and present portfolio performance reports.
• Use data to develop actionable recommendations.
