Job summary

DHA Housing Solutions for North Texas is seeking a Leasing Manager to handle policy-driven landlord recruitment and voucher operations across North Texas. You will process tenancy packets, verify rents, and expand owner partnerships with public and private stakeholders.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration and 2 years of property management experience, plus Section 8 certification within six months of appointment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration or related field is required.
• Two years of property management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Section 8 Rent Calculation Certification required within 6 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Implement DHA policy to encourage owner participation in non-poverty or non-minority areas.
• Inform voucher holders about lease options inside/outside the PHA jurisdiction and supply landlord contacts.
• Market the Housing Choice Voucher Program to property owners outside poverty/minority areas.
• Maintain and update marketing materials for new and existing property owners.
• Oversee intake, management, and processing of RFTA packets for HCV program.
• Supervise staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness of rental adjustments and new contracts.
• Coordinate meetings with public/private agencies to recruit property owners.
• Ensure vendor changes are processed timely; coordinate with Section 8 case managers for rent adjustments.
• Act as liaison for owners and managers interested in HCV participation.
• Brief landlords on DHA policy and HUD regulations; report fair housing concerns.
• Maintain stats, prepare reports and related documents.
• Resolve complaints and policy changes affecting resident status and satisfaction.
• Meet with landlords to provide support; analyze issues and implement solutions.
