Job summary

DHA, Housing Solutions for North Texas is seeking a Leasing Professional to interview, verify eligibility and assist clients with the DHA Housing Voucher program. You will work with the assistant manager of housing services to maintain files, oversee home visits, and respond to inquiries.

The role emphasizes confidentiality and accurate documentation to uphold program integrity. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, two years of related experience,

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet clients and assist with DHA Housing Voucher program inquiries.
• Interview clients, verify eligibility and calculate rent portions.
• Maintain client files, conduct home visits, verify information and process documents.
• Advise clients on rights and responsibilities under the Walker Settlement and Housing Choice Voucher.
• Perform data entry, document preparation and scheduling of meetings as requested.
• Explain DHA programs and services while keeping client information confidential.
• Promote DHA leadership priorities in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet clients and ensure they feel comfortable while collecting any relevant information and answering any questions they have about the DHA Housing Voucher program
• Conduct interviews, verify the family’s eligibility for the DHA Housing Voucher program and compute the family’s portion of rent
• Maintain client files by conducting home visits, verifying information and processing program documentation files as required
• Advise clients on their rights and responsibilities under the Walker Settlement and the Housing Choice Voucher
• Perform administrative duties such as data entry, preparing and processing various documents and coordinating and scheduling meetings as requested
• Explain the nature of DHA programs, procedures and services to clients while maintaining absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records and DHA information
• Enthusiastically promote the President/CEO’s priorities for the operations of DHA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, or a related field
• Two (2) years of related work experience
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Rent Calculation Certification required within 6 months of appointment
• Valid Texas State Drivers’ License required
