Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee leasing staff and ensure quality leasing procedures and customer service.
• Train new leasing consultants and retrain/redirect existing staff.
• Act as a liaison between management and leasing staff and review goals with supervisors.
• Ensure leases and lease packages are accurate prior to signing.
• Manage applicant qualification process and approve or disapprove applications.
• Assist the Manager in meeting reporting deadlines and maintaining activity calendars.
• Maintain office files and records according to policy.
• Provide clerical support such as typing, filing, and reporting.
• Maintain a professional and friendly tour environment for prospects and residents.
• Review advertising for accuracy and monitor market conditions.
• Promote resident and business referral programs as per guidelines.
• Support resident retention efforts and enforce policies.

Leasing Manager

Full Time Sales Hillcrest Heights, MD, US

Salary Range: $27.00 To $28.50 Hourly

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Leasing Manager to join our team in Suitland, MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the leasing team to ensure all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, lease renewals and resident retention are completed for the property.

Personnel

• Oversee leasing staff and ensure quality leasing procedures and customer service.
• Train new leasing consultants and retrain/redirect existing leasing staff.
• Act as a liaison between management and leasing staff. Help ensure proper communication at all levels concerning rental activity and the marketing needs of your property. Review weekly and monthly goals with supervisors.

Administrative

• Ensure leases and lease packages are accurate prior to resident signing.
• Maintain control of the applicant qualification process and approve or disapprove applications in accordance to established guidelines.
• Assist the Manager in meeting all reporting deadlines and maintaining an activity calendar to ensure that tasks are completed.
• Assist the Manager in maintaining all office files and records in accordance with policy and standard business practice.
• Provide clerical assistance such as typing, filing, writing of reports, answering telephones, closing out daily reports, etc.,

Leasing

• Ensure a professional and friendly atmosphere in areas where prospects and residents meet.
• Ensure the entire tour route are in perfect condition.
• Walk rent readies, model units and the status of the vacant units to ensure preparation for tours with prospects.
• Review prospect guest cards to ensure they are completed to allow proper follow-up.

Marketing

• Review for accuracy of all advertising on a weekly basis or as necessary.
• Shop competition monthly and be aware of neighborhood market conditions.
• Promote resident and business referral programs as established under company guidelines.
• Contribute ideas to the Property Manager for marketing property and improving resident satisfaction.

Resident Relations/Resident Retention

• Support and assist in resident retention measures a prior to and for new move-ins, ongoing, etc.,
• Implement Management’s policies and procedures regarding lease obligations, House Rules and Regulations, etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in leasing or property management
• Certification such as Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Leasing Professional (CLP) is preferred
• Prior experience in property management or real estate
• Proficiency in property management software and CRM systems
• Strong sales and marketing skills
• Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
• Familiarity with local property laws and regulations
• Experience with social media and online marketing platforms
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
