Job summary

Bruckner Truck & Equipment is seeking a skilled technician to oversee service operations at our Fort Worth locations. The role covers scheduling, shop workflow, parts and labor accuracy, and strong customer communication for billable services.

You will guide a team of technicians, ensure safety and compliance, and support diagnostics with leading programs and OEM tools. Ideal candidates hold a Class B CDL, brake certification, and proficiency with diagnostic software and TDP applications.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL license is required.
• FMCSA brake certification or equivalent credential.
• Proficient with diagnostic programs (PTT, Insite, Bendix, Allison).
• Proficient with TDP applications (Impact, Vin View, UCHP).
• Solid understanding of Mack/Volvo/Cummins warranty schedules.
• Familiar with Enrich program and inventory management.
• Tier 1 technician qualifications/skill level.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and schedule service operations including routine services, breakdowns, and after-hours calls.
• Perform daily lot checks to optimize shop workflow and keep yard organized.
• Close and approve technician work orders; ensure correct parts, accurate labor, and notes.
• Communicate with customers on billable items; obtain POs and provide estimates.
• Assign work to technicians based on skill and efficiency; keep team motivated.
• Ensure shop environment and tools comply with safety standards; assist safety inspections.
• Provide diagnostic guidance and technical support to technicians.
• Pickup and delivery of units/parts; visit customer/vendor sites as needed.
• Keep upper management updated on operations; coordinate with Sales/Operations.
• Conduct routine inventory audits/cycle counts as required.
• Perform repairs in shop; fill in as Tier 1 Tech if necessary.
• Handle other assignments as required by management.

Oversight and scheduling of service operations including routine services, breakdowns, and after-hours calls2. Perform and maintain daily lot check to better manage workflow into shop, prioritize order of operation, and keep yard/lot organized and neat3. Work in process management- Closing and approving technician work orders, including making sure the correct parts are charged out, labor is correct, and comments are entered4. Customer approval/communication on billable items, acquiring POs, sending estimates, and overall customer relationship management5. Keep technicians on task and motivated- Assign work to techs based on skill and efficiency level6. Ensure shop environment including work area, technician team, and shop tools are in compliant and safe condition; Assist with KPA safety inspection reports as required by management7. Provide tech oversight and assistance, including diagnostic advice and additional support8. Pickup and delivery of units and/or parts, making appearances at customer/vendor locations regularly9. Keeping upper management updated daily on operations; This also includes communicating with Sales/Operations team as needed10. Routine inventory audits/cycle counts as required by management11. Perform repairs in shop as needed, able to fill in as Tier 1 Tech if necessary12.
