Job summary

Bruckner Truck & Equipment, a large family-owned truck dealer, is seeking an experienced diesel mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on trucks and equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose failures and work with customers to keep fleets safe and productive.

The role requires a valid driver license, 5+ years of diesel experience, and a Class A CDL within 60 days. Automotive certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver license.
• Valid Class A CDL or the ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.
• 5+ years of diesel experience.
• Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED.
• Prior mechanic experience.
• Automotive certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks and equipment for condition, operation, parts and fluid levels.
• Check, fill and change fluids for engine, transmission, differentials, final drives, pumps and hubs.
• Grease, oil, and lubricate components during preventive maintenance service.
• Perform adjustments to various systems during preventive maintenance service.
• Maintain and/or change air, oil, coolant and fuel filters.
• Perform cooling systems maintenance.
• Identify and designate problems.
• Complete necessary repair and preventive maintenance work.
• Checks safety equipment on truck and/or equipment.
• Drive truck in and out of repair area.
• Complete required paperwork, documents parts and material usage and times.

This position will have an impact in the following areas: customer relations, equipment diagnosis, failures of a motor vehicle and/or its related equipment and will involve professionalism, service/product training, and gathering new business relationships with prospective customers.Responsibilities:The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform.
