Job summary

Bruckner Truck & Equipment is seeking a diesel technician to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on trucks and equipment at customer locations. You will diagnose issues, service engines, transmissions, differentials, and ensure safety and professionalism in every interaction.

Requirements include a valid driver's license, Class A CDL (or ability to obtain in 60 days), 5+ years of diesel experience, and automotive certification.

Qualifications

• Valid driver license.
• Valid Class A CDL or the ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.
• 5+ years of diesel experience.
• Prior mechanic experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks and equipment for condition, operation, parts and fluid levels.
• Check, fill and change fluids for engines, transmissions, differentials, final drives, hubs.
• Grease, oil, and lubricate components during preventive maintenance service.
• Perform adjustments to various systems during preventive maintenance service.
• Maintain and/or change air, oil, coolant and fuel filters.
• Perform cooling system maintenance and safety checks.
• Complete required paperwork and document parts and time usage.
• Represent Core Values in daily work with customers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

This position will have an impact in the following areas: customer relations, equipment diagnosis, failures of a motor vehicle and/or its related equipment and will involve professionalism, service/product training, and gathering new business relationships with prospective customers.Responsibilities:The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.Inspects trucks and/or equipment, for condition, operation, parts and fluid levels.Checks, fills and changes out appropriate fluids for all vehicle parts including engine, transmission, differentials, final drives, pump drives and hubs.Greases, oils, and lubricates components during preventive maintenance service.Performs adjustments to various systems during preventive maintenance service.Maintains and/or changes air, oil, coolant and fuel filters.Performs cooling systems maintenance.Identifies and designates problems.Completes necessary repair and preventive maintenance work.Checks safety equipment on truck and/or equipment.Drives truck in and out of repair area.Follows all safety policies and procedures.Completes required paperwork, documents parts and material usage and accounts for applied times (i.e. work order times versus time card times.)Represent the Company Core Values and adheres to the guidelines of the Employee handbook on a daily basis to all internal and external customers.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Experience & EducationRequired:Valid driver licenseValid Class A CDL or the ability to obtain within 60 days of employment5+ years of diesel experiencePreferred:Equivalent of a high school diploma or G.E.D certificationPrior mechanic experience.Automotive certification.Service Excellence classification: medium/heavy truck.
