Overview

The Leasing Consultant (Bilingual) is the property's sales representative, responsible for supporting leasing, retention, and occupancy goals. This role requires excellent customer service skills to provide current and prospective residents with an exceptional experience. The ideal candidate builds relationships, plans events, and takes initiative while remaining flexible to meet community needs.

Responsibilities

1. Greet prospective tenants and professionally present the features and benefits of the property.
2. Conduct all business following company policies, Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all applicable laws.
3. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
4. Create a professional and friendly atmosphere in the leasing center/clubhouse.
5. Inspect models and market-readiness before showings to ensure quality appearance.
6. Relay incoming calls to the appropriate contacts.
7. Maintain awareness of local competition and market trends.
8. Complete paperwork accurately and promptly.
9. Maintain active guest cards until prospects choose their home.
10. Regularly inspect the property and report deficiencies.
11. Assist in preparing reports, resident communication, move-ins/outs, inventory, and market surveys.
12. Maintain resident files with current information.
13. Process leasing applications per company guidelines.
14. Oversee lease renewal programs to maximize renewals.
15. Provide excellent customer service.
16. Plan and oversee resident activities with the Property Manager.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree preferred.
2. Prior leasing or property management experience is a plus.
3. Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
4. Strong attendance and customer service skills.
5. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and YARDI software is preferred.
7. Physical ability to walk, stand, and conduct property tours in various weather conditions.
