Job summary

Fortis Property Management is seeking a Floating Leasing Consultant to lease apartments across several properties in Goose Creek, SC, part-time and hourly. You will adapt to each community's goals, drive occupancy, and promote resident service excellence throughout the portfolio.

The role requires at least 2 years in multi-family property management, proficiency with Yardi/RealPage/MRI/AppFolio, and strong sales and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of multi-family property management experience.
• Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, RealPage, MRI, AppFolio).
• Proficiency in social media is preferred.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Show apartments to prospects.
• Provide information to prospects via phone and in person.
• Accurately quote prices and follow up with leads.
• Maintain knowledge of the local market and comparable properties.
• Ensure completion of application paperwork from prospects.
• Collect deposits, rents, and other payments.
• Prepare and review leases for accuracy and renewal.
• Inspect apartments for readiness and coordinate move-ins.

Position Overview:

The focus of the Floating Leasing Consultant is to lease apartments across multiple properties, achieving the highest effective rent levels possible while maintaining a strong customer service and satisfaction philosophy. In this role, you will adapt dynamically to support each community's leasing goals, driving occupancy and promoting excellence in resident service throughout the portfolio.

Job Description/Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Show apartments
• Provide information to prospects via telephone and personal visits
• Accurately quote prices
• Follow up on all prospects
• Thorough knowledge of the immediate market and all comparable properties
• Thorough knowledge of the surrounding community
• Ensure all necessary application paperwork is obtained from prospects
• Provide superior customer serviceCollect money (deposits, rents, etc.)
• Prepare and review leases for accuracy
• Maintain effective and aggressive lease renewal program
• Inspect apartments for readiness
• Adherence to and proper implementation of all Fortis Properties Management policies and procedures
• Distribute move-in packages
• Other duties as delegated

Knowledge of and adherence to the following:

• Fair Housing policies and procedures
• ADA policies and procedures

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years multi-family property management
• Proficiency in social media preferred
• Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, RealPage, MRI, AppFolio)
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
